This case is reported as probably tuberculous, though we do not have any laboratory proof to offer in substantiation of the diagnosis. The history, physical findings, x-ray, and course of the disease were all typical of a tuberculous process so that we feel justified in making that diagnosis.
The case is reported because of the rarity with which tuberculosis of the ilium is encountered.
