Abstract

Internal fixation for intertrochanteric fractures is an effective and efficient method. It also adds greatly to the comfort of the patient, and lessens materially the nursing care.

The femoral nail-plate here presented has had sufficient clinical trial to justify the claim that it will adequately support a fractured intertrochanteric region of the femur without external fixation.
