Abstract

The case presented here would appear to be unique in that it clearly establishes the possibility of the intramedullary origin of a liposarcoma. Clinical, operative, and pathological examination of the extremity failed to reveal any evidence of tumor outside the medullary cavity of the tibia. Two years have passed, and the patient has shown no evidence of a primary lesion elsewhere or of metastatic disease.
