Abstract

The corrosion resistance of Vitallium and AISI 316 stainless steels under conditions of cyclic stress was tested in vitro. Vitallium showed the greatest corrosion resistance under these experimental conditions. Differences in the corrodibility of the steel specimens were recorded with variation in their composition, one lot being greatly superior to another.
