Abstract

1. The anatomical arrangement of the extensor tendons for the fingers is known to be quite variable on the dorsum of the hand.

2. A study of fifty-seven hands by dissection, observation, and photography revealed various anatomical arrangements of the extensor tendons.

3. Findings of surgical importance are enumerated and their clinical significance explained.
