No conclusions can be drawn concerning a method used for one successful closed reduction but, in the absence of reported success by other closed maneuvers, this rather simple procedure deserves further trial. The maneuver may be equally successful for all posterior dislocations of the shoulder.
Posterior fracture-dislocation of the shoulder is a rare iujury. The diagnosis is often missed. An axillary roentgenogram is the one sure way to make an accurate diagnosis.
