Abstract

The clinical manifestations in tweny cases of Gaucher's disease have been reviewed with particular emphasis on the natural history of the symptomatic skeletal lesions. Particular attention is drawn to periosteal reaction, resembling periostitis, hip fracture, and necrosis of the femoral head in children.

The management of necrosis of the femoral and humeral heads and of fractures of the hip and long bones is reviewed.
