Abstract

In the article Dual Transfer of the Posterior Tibial and Flexor Digitorum Longus Tendons for Drop Foot by Andre Carayon, Pierre Bourrel, Michel Bourges, and Marcel Touzé, published in the January 1967 issue of The Journal, the total of thirty-one cases included erroneously the eight cases of a series in which side-to-side tendon suture had been performed. Only twenty-three transfers were done according to the recommended technique. Therefore, on page 144, the last sentence in the fourth paragraph should read: "It is the purpose of this paper to describe the operative technique and results in twenty-three cases of paralysis of the common peroneal nerve, of which five were caused by trauma and eighteen by leprosy." On page 145, the first sentence of the first paragraph under Results should begin "Eighteen of twenty-three operations. . . ." On page 147, the first sentence of the second full paragraph should begin "The results in the twenty-three feet were excellent in twelve. . . ." On page 148, the last sentence of the fourth paragraph should read "The end results in these eight cases were not nearly as satisfactory as those in the twenty-three patients already reported." On page 144, the subtitle, Report of Thirty-one Cases, should be changed to read Report of Twenty-three Cases.
