Abstract

To study the relation of juxtacortical osteosarcoma to intraosseous osteosarcoma and to re-evaluate the treatment of the former, sixty-four cases were collected from the literature and sixteen cases from the archives of the Netherlands Committee on Bone Tumors. A total of eighty cases were studied.

It is concluded that juxtacortical osteosarcoma should be considered a distinctive entity, and a scheme for treatment based on its distinctive features is proposed.
