Abstract

Patients with osteochondritis dissecans of the knee have been observed to walk with the tibia laterally rotated.

Five cases are reported in which medial rotation of the tibia in flexion produced typical pain.

The appearances at operation are described.

The etiological significance of these observations is discussed.
