Abstract

Seven cases in children of acute hematogenous Hemophilus influenzae pyarthrosis seen in the last four years are reported. Pitfalls in the prompt bacteriological identification of the causative organism are responsible for missed or erroncous diagnosis. Prompt surgical drainage is advisable.
