Abstract

The toxicity of several corrosion resistant alloys (stainless steel and cobalt chromium) was assayed by exposing tissue cultures to powders of these alloys and counting the cell populations after standard replication intervals. Differences in the degrees of toxicity of these alloys, not demonstrated by in vivo methods, were elicited.
