Abstract

An account is given of a newly designed splint for the ambulatory treatment of coxa plana. The splint enforces complete containment of the capital femoral epiphysis by the acetabulum and prevents weight transmission through the affected hip. The results obtained in treating twenty-five children with this splint are presented.
