A simple, practical and effective method for providing ideal skin coverage in small surface defects of the hand has been described.
Free full-thickness grafts from the ulnar aspect of the palm (hypothenar area) have been applied to replace twenty-two skin defects in twenty patients.
The results have been satisfactory from a functional and aesthetic viewpoint. Complications of the donor site have not occurred.
