Abstract

An eleven-year-old boy with the congenital nephropathy of the nail-patella syndrome was admitted to the hospital with end-stage renal disease. Renal osteodystrophy with spontaneous displacement of the distal radial and ulnar epiphyses developed. He was successfully treated with chronic hemodialysis, vitamin D, and a subsequent renal homotransplantation.
