Abstract

Ten subjects performed a series of elbow and forearm movements while the activity of the anconeus, triceps (medial head), supinator, and pronator teres were monitored electromyographically and recorded. No support is given to the idea that the anconeus is involved in pronation; more likely it is a joint stabilizer.
