Abstract

In the article "Desmoplastic Fibroma of Bone. A Report of Eight Cases and Review of the Literature" by Gebhardt et al., on pages 732 to 747 in the June 1985 issue of The Journal, there are several errors.

The second and third sentences in the first paragraph of the abstract on page 732 should read as follows: "Fewer than eighty cases have been previously reported. We have reviewed the diagnostic and therapeutic findings of eight additional cases."

On page 746, right-hand column, first paragraph, seventh line, the sentence beginning "Fibrous dysplasia can appear . . ." should read as follows: "Fibrous dysplasia can appear similar to desmoplastic fibroma, but there is an absence of dysplastic bone in the latter5.12, except in areas of pathological fracture or near the periphery of the lesion."
